Totally agree with you dude. RE4+5 have a very different feel. (in a bad way then)
Btw. try and search RE5 ost on youtube, there's a guy who made some nice (unofficial) tracks for this one. (they remind me a bit of RE3...)

No, it was death of it.

Resident Evil 4 is a commercial/action revolution by Mikami for all videogamers.

Resident Evil original series (1-2-3-Rebirth-0) was inspired by Romero's movie.
It was similar to a "70's horror b-movie"...

With his last videogame "Vanquish" has confirmed his new "commercial" vision.
