Hi, I have a few shareworthy OSTS in my collection and would like to rip them. This said I have a few questions:

1. Whic program should I use?
2. Which codec should I use?
3. Which options should I choose?

Cheers!

1) Any good and 100% working audio ripping tool (and a 100% working drive!)
2/3) Flac, ogg vorbis (quality 5), mp3 (320 or 192)

My opinion:

Program: Windows Media Player works the best of the ones I've tried, believe it or not. dbpoweramp is also pretty good. Gonna try EAC as per JohnConnor's suggestion though, looks good so far.

Codec: MP3 is most universal. 256kbps, 320 is you want that extra bit of quality. Usually that jump will only be noticable on very intense songs (metal, some synth, intense orchestral, etc), and even then only if you have really, really sharp ears wink.gif 128kbps is pretty bad, 196 is /tolerable/.

I use
CODE
http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/
with the
CODE
http://lame.sourceforge.net/
to rip to MP3.

I use 192-320 kbps.
