I play World of Warcraft on the Malaysian server. Just like other WoW players, I spend a daily average of 8 – 10 hours with my guide-mates. That means I can’t spend as much time with my girlfriend. She never raised a question about this but I just knew things couldn’t go on like this. So I asked her to join me in WoW. She obliged.

But in short of a month’s time, she started to complain about the complexity of WoW, but she still spent several hours at the PC. I thought she was trying despite her lack of interest for the love of me. But I was wrong.

The long hours she spent on was a game called ‘HighStreet 5’; it seemed to be a very simple casual game about music, dance, etc. Seeing that she’s so much drawn to this game, I played my good boyfriend and asked her to show me how to play it. Well, that was way too easy to the point of a bit humiliating for a prof like me – I learnt all the basics in 5 minutes, no more! Though I have to concede that to expertly play this game requires a bit more time because I lost to my gf in the initial rounds.

According to my gf, this is a girl game because almost all her friends in the game are girls. She insists that despite its simple operation, it is a great game because she gets to network with girls with a similar age and interests, and they get to share a lot of things. She keeps saying this game is more fun than WoW! So unbearable stubbornness!

But you can’t argue with your gf, can you? So since then, while I strategized with my mates for lucrative loot, she confused on her HighStreet 5. We did not communicate as much. And our relationship seemed to have cooled down – my intuition told me something was not quite right but I didn’t know what.

One day when I chatted with my mates in WoW, blaming this game for our cooling relationship, they said they also knew this game because it was hugely popular in Taiwan. They even said it’s not only popular among girls but also boys. They particularly enjoyed the music, and video chat – quite a lot of them met gorgeous girls via this function, they swore! What really struck me was they speculated that my gf met another boyfriend in HighStreet 5!

I was furious at their suggestion, but a tiny voice in me told me that might be the reason for why she seemed to be drifting away from me. Still, I hold on to my belief of her love for me, and so I am going to swap WoW for HighStreet 5 for a while. I won’t let her be snatched from me so easily. Is there anyone who knows this game well? Any prof tip to work this keyboard game? Thanks very much for your tips!

I dont know that game, but i am surprised that you spend most of the time of your relationship with your girlfriend on the internet instead of doing much more interesting things than gaming.
There are games a girl and a boy can play thats everybody's enjoying. wink.gif
If you dont want to let her go, catch her with your heat, instead of cooling down your relationship.
