"Trance Rock" is what I call the musical styles of the Viewtiful Joe 2 and Shadow the Hedgehog soundtracks. Anybody know of any similar-sounding music?

For those who haven't heard the two examples, Trance Rock is a mix of heavy guitars, drums, and/or bass with electronic instruments and/or fast beats. Lots of synths and sounds mashed together, sounds great when driving down a highway.

Your search terms seem quite inaccurate as most games have such kind of music to a greater or lesser extent. But once you mentioned Viewtiful Joe and Sonic I`d recommend Viewtiful Joe: Red hot rumble and Sonic adventure DX

By the way, I've tried looking for the Red Hot Rumble soundtrack after hearing parts of it on YouTube, but I can't find it, and I haven't gotten any replies there. You wouldn't happen to know where I could get the RHR soundtrack, would you?

The Sonic Adventure one was easy to get. Pretty good overall, very nostalgic after growing up on that game. I'm going to look for more Sonic OSTs.

I highly recommend the Descent 2 soundtrack, such a good soundtrack. Have a listen, there available to stream on youtube, I have them downloaded onto my computer, I'll see what I can do about uploading them if you want it or anyone else is interested.

Just downloaded Descent 2 soundtrack onto my computer, have it in iTunes...

Pretty good so far, reminds me of Vectorman in some spots.
